QUEEN’S BUSINESS SCHOOL INFORMATION TECHNOOGY, ANALYTICS & OPERATIONS (ITAO) SEMINAR SERIES
Tuesday 28th April
1pm
“Output to Insight: An Interactive Session on AI in Academia - A keynote and interactive session.”
Rutgers University
Abstract
This interactive session explores how AI is reshaping academia, not just by accelerating work, but by shifting what counts as value. In teaching, the challenge moves from testing knowledge to observing real thinking, as AI can generate competent answers instantly. In research, the bottleneck shifts from producing papers to generating meaningful insight, as AI lowers the cost of execution but raises the bar for contribution.
The session will begin with a short framing of key changes in teaching and research, followed by an open, discussion-driven exchange with faculty and students. The goal is to move beyond tools and policies and focus on how business schools should rethink learning, research, and relevance in practice.
