Pharmacy Services Info Session for Afghan Families

In January 2024, Queen’s University provided a platform for  to host a workshop on pharmacy services for Afghan families newly resettled in Belfast.

Newly qualified pharmacists from Queen’s University delivered presentations on the role of community pharmacists, available services, health promotion campaigns, and access to health services. A culturally sensitive session was held specifically for the women in the group. The workshop was well-attended by Afghan refugee families, who were introduced to a range of services available in their new community.

The event was designed to accommodate up to 40 participants and included presentations, a creche for younger children, and refreshments.
