Celebrating 190 years of medical education in Belfast.

Throughout 2026, the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences will celebrate 190 years of medical education in Belfast. From its early beginnings in a modest building on the site of the Royal Belfast Academical Institution in the city centre, to today’s state-of-the-art teaching at the Medical Biology Centre, where 300 future doctors begin their journey each year.
