The Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Open SecuRe NeTworks (CDT-FORT) is a groundbreaking initiative funded by EPSRC, bringing together the world-leading expertise of the University of Surrey and °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Belfast.

In an increasingly interconnected world, the need for open, secure, and resilient communication systems has never been more critical. CDT-FORT addresses this national need by nurturing the next generation of industry-conscious thinkers and leaders with unique expertise across wireless communications, cybersecurity, networking, and AI.

Are you passionate about cybersecurity, AI, and networking? The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Open Secure Networks (CDT-FORT) offers an exceptional PhD opportunity, bringing together world-leading expertise from the University of Surrey and °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Belfast.

What We Offer:

4-Year Fully Funded PhD Scholarships with an integrated Year 1 training programme to build essential skills.

  4. AI-Assisted Physical Layer Security

  • Access to an enhanced Research training support grant of approx. £3,700 per annum Y2-4
  • Access to EDI bursaries for those with caring responsibilities
